The Nomadic by Liz Hambleton

Liz Hambleton, an indie author that I not only have the pleasure of being on her ARC team, but is become an author that I actively look for. Her books not only sweep you up in a whirlwind of emotions, but they leave you wanting more.

Her newest book, The Third Storm, took me for a rollercoaster ride (review on that one is coming trust me) and this 30 minute snippet was no different. That’s right y’all. A little 30 minute teaser has me in my feelings, and to make it worse she gave us a warning!

*I’m going to try to be as spoiler free as I can in this review. But since the book is so short I can make no promises.

The Review

The Nomadic begins with Corbyn and 9 days before the end of her 45 day shift ion the space ship taking her and a group of people to “Tribus me Earth”. She need to wake up her replacement and get him ready for his 45 day shift, and so on and so forth. Seems pretty simple right? Nope, not at all.
John, Corbyn’s new replacement, well he’s been hiding a little secret. He’s has the hots for her… badly. And little miss dorky pants has it bad for Mr. McSteamy as well. Well, to keep it pg-13, those 9 days of training weren’t spent training of you catch my drift. -wink wink-

Nine days later, it’s time for Corbyn to go into stasis (deep sleep) until they land on Tribus Earth… or so she thought. She wakes back up in the arms of John who tells her they still have YEARS until they land. Nobody else is going to wake up. It’s just the two of them for now. Because “I told you we’d figure something out”

Ohhh!! If I didn’t throw my tablet across the room, pick it up reread the last chapter, and throw it again I’d be lying to y’all. I don’t think I’ve ever been so upset at a novella in my life. But it was well worth the read.

Overall Rating: 4.25 stars

This novella is available now on Kindle Vella.
